The Housing Official is responsible for residential Certificate of Occupancy (CO). If a home within the Borough sells it is required that a new CO is completed and filed at Borough Hall. Rental properties must have a CO completed at each occupancy turnover. The Housing Official also has the duty of making sure landlord registration forms are filled out annually for each rental unit within the Borough. This form protects both the landlord and tenant and must be filed with the Borough.
All vacant and abandoned properties must be reported through the Housing Officer.
