Water
Water Meters are read at the beginning of each quarter. See the chart below for exact days The bill covers the quarter that is immediately prior and includes a minimum rate, which allows up to 10,000 gallons of usage, and a "usage" charge for anything above the 10,000 gallons.
- A minimum water bill is currently $122.19 per quarter.
- Excess is charged at the following rates:
- 10,001 - 25,000 gallons: $7.30 per thousand gallons
- 25,001 + gallons: $7.82 per thousand gallons
- There is a 10 day grace period for payments before interest is charged retroactive to the first of the month at a rate of 18% per annum. If the 10th of the month falls on the weekend or a holiday, the grace period is extended to the next regular business day.
- Checks should be made payable to the WBMUA - Water.
- When selling your home, a final meter reading and search should be completed to avoid any excess that you are currently using being billed to the buyer. The cost for the final read is $10.00.
