Police Officer

 

The Woodstown Police Department is currently accepting applications from certified and non-certified applicants for the position of full-time police officer. Applications are available at the Woodstown Police Department or online at www.woodstownpd.org/employment. Residents are encouraged to apply!

 

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and no older than 35 years of age;
• Must be a resident of New Jersey and a citizen of the United States;
• Must possess a valid NJ driver’s license;
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently;
• Must be sound in body and of good health;
• Must be of good moral character and not convicted of any criminal offense involving moral turpitude;
• Must be able to pass a medical examination, psychological examination and drug screening;
• A college degree, military service or prior law enforcement experience is preferred.

School Crossing Guard

We are currently accepting applications for the position of School Crossing Guard.

Applicants must be available for all crossings. Crossings take place Monday through Friday (when school is in session) during the following times:

For regular school days (2 crossings)

• 7:00 am to 7:50 am
• 2:25 pm to 3:15 pm

For half school days (2 crossings)

• 7:00 am to 7:50 am
• 11:50 am to 12:40 pm

When dismissal times vary by school (3 crossings)

• 7:00 am to 7:50 am
• 11:50 am to 12:40 pm
• 2:25 pm to 3:15 pm

Pay: Crossing guards are paid on an hourly basis with a minimum of 6 hours of pay per day worked. The current rate for 2024 is $16.10 per hour.
